Rock Throwing

This creature is an accomplished rock thrower, has a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls with thrown rocks, and is considered proficient with using thrown rocks as a weapon. A “rock” is any large, bulky, and relatively regularly shaped object made of any material with a hardness of at least 5.

A creature can hurl rocks up to two categories smaller than its size; for example, a Large hill giant can hurl Small rocks. The creature can hurl the rock up to five range increments. The size of the range increment varies with the creature (20 feet if not otherwise specified).

Damage is based on the size of the rock thrown—1d6 points of damage for a Tiny Rock (Medium creature), 1d8 points of damage for a Small rock (Large creature), 2d6 for a Medium rock (Huge creature), and so forth—plus 1-1/2 times the thrower’s Strength bonus.
