A crown of blackened metal and bone rests upon your brow, displaying your dominion over the forces of the dead and damned.
Weaving this veil allows you to detect the presence of undead creatures and causes them to view you favorably. You gain the effects of detect undead in a 30-foot radius emanation as a constant effect. When determining the effects of this ability, you are always treated as if you had concentrated on the effect for three rounds.
When interacting with undead, their starting attitudes towards you are improved. Mindless undead have a starting attitude of indifferent, and intelligent undead have their starting attitude improved by one step, to a maximum of indifferent. Mindless undead will usually ignore you unless attacked, intelligent undead will usually view you more favorably than normal, but may still attack you depending on their beliefs or motivations. When interacting with intelligent undead, you gain a +1 insight bonus to your Deception, Intimidate, and Persuasion checks made against them.
Essence
For each point of essence invested in this veil, the range of your undead detection increases by 10 feet, and the insight bonus to social skills when interacting with intelligent undead increases by 1.
Chakra Bind (Headband)
Binding this veil to your Headband chakra allows you to impose your will on the minds of undead creatures. You may use command undead as a spell-like ability a number of times per day equal to 1 + your veilweaving modifier. When making opposed Charisma checks using this spell, you may use the higher of your veilweaving modifier or your Charisma. If you unravel this veil (but not if it is suppressed), the duration of all of your active command undead spells immediately end.
