Your foes strikes your form, finding only emptiness in your place, a mere reflection of the true world.
You may initiate this counter in response to being targeted by a weapon attack, martial technique, spell, ability, or esoteric effect (the attack or effect must target you, not merely include you in its area of effect). Make an Insight check against of DC of 15 + caster level for a spell or effect or 15 + base attack bonus for an attack or martial technique. If your check is successful, the attack or effect simply fails, as if it had no valid target. On a failed Insight check, you instead add your initiation modifier to your AC and saving throws against the attack or effect.
The stillness lasts until the end of your next turn.
