A shield of akashic energy settles over the Protector’s wrists, tugging at their body to intercept attacks.
When an ally within 10 feet of the entitled is subjected to a single target attack, spell, or effect, the entitled may use an immediate action to move up to 10 feet towards that ally and redirect the attack, spell, or effect to themselves. The entitled must end their movement adjacent to their ally or this effect fails.
This veil’s power must be declared before dice have been rolled.
Essence
For every 2 points of essence invested in this veil, the range of this veil and the movement it grants to the entitled is increased by by 5 feet.
Chakra Bind (Wrist)
When bound to the Wrist chakra, the entitled can activate this ability as a free action by expending one of their attacks of opportunity for the round. (They may still use this veil as an immediate action without expending an attack of opportunity if they choose.)
In addition, the entitled may use an immediate action to gain an insight bonus to their Armor Class equal to 2 + 2 per point of essence invested in this veil and a +1 insight bonus to their saves for every 2 points of essence invested in this veil. These bonuses only apply when the entitled redirects an attack to themselves using this veil.
