Auric Lord

There are those whose very presence can affect the world around them, seemingly without effort. The auric lord exploits their domineering presence, forging it into a magical aura that allows them to command the battlefield and change the course of entire wars.

By simply existing on the battlefield and projecting their powerful auras, an auric lord can reinforce their allies, strike fear into their enemies, and dominate the battle through their presence alone. With access to nearly any type of aura, they can choose which auras will benefit themselves or hinder their enemies the most.

Entry Requirements

Base Save Bonus: Will +3.
Skills: Arcane Lore or Psi Lore 3 ranks.
Esoterica: Must possess some esoteric ability, such as the ability to cast spells, manifest powers, or weave veils.

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

An Auric Lord gains no proficiency with any type of weapon, armor, or shield.

Golden Aura

You gain access to one type of Aura with a +1 aura bonus. You know two auras of your choice from those available to your chosen type at 1st level and learn one additional aura at each class level thereafter.

Your auras can affect all creatures within 30 feet, including yourself. Benefits only affect your allies, including yourself, while penalties instead affect only your enemies. You may define any creature within your aura as an ally, enemy, or neither (making them unaffected by your auras) as you choose.

An aura remains in effect until you dismiss it as a free action or you become unconscious or are slain.

At 3rd level, your aura bonus increases to +2.

In addition, your auric lord levels stack with levels in any other class you have that projects an aura for determining the caster level (or manifester level) of those auras. This does not progress any other features of that class, including auras known or aura bonus.

At 3rd level, the aura bonus of one other class you possess that can project auras is increased by +1.

Bonus Feat

At 2nd level, you gain an Aura Feat of your choice as a bonus feat. You must meet the prerequisites of the selected feat.
