Individuals who gather random collections of, often worthless, items simply for the joy of owning them tend to become packrats. They are sticky-fingered thieves prone to snatching anything within reach, no matter how minor the value, and stuffing it into a bag for later. Packrats are obsessed with their collections and are seldom willing to part with even the most trivial item, learning to efficiently pack and carry everything they own so that they need never discard or abandon anything.

Class Features
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
A Packrat gains no proficiency with any type of weapon, armor, or shield.
Packrat
An obsessive hoarder must also be an expert packer. You are so adept at packing dry goods that the Capacity of any container you use is increased by 50 percent. Furthermore, the effective total weight of any container you carry is reduced by 10 percent per class level.
In addition, due to the sheer number of useless items you carry and your tendency to stick things wherever they happen to fit, you add your class level as a circumstance bonus on skill checks made to hide an item on your person.
Quicker than the Eye
Your reflexes reach phenomenal speeds. You can draw or sheath a weapon as a free action and no longer provoke attacks of opportunity when sheathing a weapon.
In addition, once per round per class level, you can make an opposed Deception (Pick Pocket) check to pick up an item, retrieve a stored item, or stuff an item you hold into one of your containers as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity.
This ability counts as the Quick Draw feat for the purpose of meeting prerequisites.
Right Tool for the Job
There is no telling what a packrat might be carrying in a pocket, pack, sack, or pouch. Once per day per class level, you can use a full-round-item to search your collection and dig out a non-magical, non-masterwork item with a market price of no more than 10 gold per Hit Die you possess.
The discovered item must reasonably fit within one of your containers and may not exceed its Capacity if it were added to the container. For example, a packrat is not going to find a longspear tucked away in her belt pouch or any unexpected item in a backpack already packed to the brim.
Scavenger
You are used to quickly scanning an area for items and assessing their value at a glance. You gain a +3 bonus on Perception checks to notice items of value or importance and on Profession checks to appraise an item’s value.
Junker’s Genius
At 3rd level, you become exceptionally skilled at using improvised tools and items. You always have access to improvised tools for any job and no longer take penalties for using improvised tools or improvised weapons.
Long Hauler
You no longer take speed penalties, check penalties, or have a maximum dexterity bonus due to encumbrance when carrying a medium or heavy load, and you may use all class abilities as if you were carrying only a light load. You also gain an additional +4 bonus on Athletics checks affected by your Endurance feat, allowing you to travel for longer and with heavier loads than otherwise possible.
