Range: | 30 ft. |
Target: | One controlled creature |
Duration: | Instantaneous |
Saving Throw: | Will negates |
The energies of the Lands and the Bridge surge, shattering the bonds that control the targeted undead.
The controller of the target of this technique must make a Will save (DC 15 + your initiation modifier). If the save fails, the controller permanently loses control of the targeted undead. Control may be regained through magic, rebuking, or other means as normal.
When freed, the target undead immediately becomes hostile to its former controller, attacking to the best of its ability if present or following its base nature if not. In addition, if the target undead is mindless, it recognizes you and your allies as non-threats and will not attack unless provoked. An intelligent undead freed in this way considers you as a friendly acquaintance and is indifferent to your allies but has free will to act as it chooses.
Alternatively, this technique can be used on a living creature currently under the effect of a charm or compulsion to give them a new save to resist the effect. The target gains a sacred bonus on the save equal to your initiation modifier.
