You add a potent catalyst to a splash weapon, causing it to explode in the air before striking its target.
Make an attack with an alchemical splash weapon. Its splash area increases by 5 feet in all directions. The weapon deals 3d6 additional damage on a direct hit, and 2d6 additional splash damage. If there are any additional effects from a direct hit (such as with alchemist’s fire), then creatures that take splash damage also receive these effects.
