You can initiate this counter in response to any cursed creature making an attack, initiating a technique, or using a power, spell, or esoteric ability targeting you (it may also have other targets, as long as you are one of them). Make an Arcane Lore check (DC 10 + 1/2 the cursed creature’s Hit Dice + the cursed creature’s Charisma modifier). If you succeed, the attack, technique, power, spell, or esoteric ability does not affect its intended target(s) and instead affects up to three targets of your choice within range, even if it would normally affect only one creature.
