The building appears to be made of sandstone, a singular peculiarity within the city, and almost a perfect square. It seems to be rather small, perhaps 100 feet on each side and only 20 feet tall. Grand columns stand along the walls at regular intervals, decorative arches linking them, the capitals of which are carved to resemble the tops of trees with the arches carved as fruited branches, their ripe fruits painted so that they appear nearly real. The doors are made of polished brass and wrought with decorative plants, pomegranates being the most prominent. A heavy brass knocker with the face of a fierce rakshasa adorns the door within easy reach.
