Holding an unrolled scroll like a shield, you capture hostile magic, binding it harmlessly within the vellum.
You must be wielding an inert spell scroll to use this maneuver.
When an enemy casts a spell that targets you or includes you in its area, you can initiate this counter to attempt to counterspell the spell. This functions similarly to counterspelling with the dispel magic spell, except that you replace the dispel check with a Linguistics check.
If you successfully counter a spell with a level equal to or higher than the level of the spell stored on the scroll, the spell scroll is recharged and ceases to be inert.
