Adherents of the Sanguine Chalice tradition are often confused for paladins, as they are most often of Good alignment and quickly take a position of leading from the front lines of any battle.
What began as a holy crusade to recover lost and stolen holy artifacts has become a longstanding tradition focused on the tenets of servant leadership, meaning to never ask another to do something you wouldn’t do yourself, to lead by example, and to always treat those you meet with the respect they would be due if you were a servant in their employ. It also teaches remaining true to oneself, teaching ways to remain unshaken in the face of overwhelming odds, showing unfaltering bravery while leading others into battle.
Sanguine Chalice is the signature martial style of the Crusaders of the Chalice, a religious sect of knights, paladins, and crusaders that wages war against evil wherever it may be found. Though originally a militaristic faction within a small religion, the sect has grown beyond the bounds of any one deity or faith and openly embraces anyone who fights against evil while upholding their own ideals.
