Half-elves take on the gentle features and fine builds of their elven parent but also combine elven grace with human affability to become especially charismatic.
Half-elves have the Human and Elf subtypes. Spells, effects, powers, and abilities which affect or target humans or elves can also affect or target the half-elf, and they can use magic items as if they were human and elf.
A Half-elf's base land speed is 30 ft.
A half-elf can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
Half-elves gain a +1 racial bonus on Perception checks.
Half-elves are proficient with one of the following weapons of their choice: longsword, rapier, longbow, and shortbow.
Half-elves gain 2 extra skill points at 1st level.
Half-elves are immune to magic sleep effects but sleep normally and require a full 8 hours of sleep to benefit from a Long Rest.
Half-elves gain a Skill Feat for which they qualify as a bonus feat.
Automatic: Common and Sylvan. Bonus: Any (other than secret languages).
Half-elves tend to prefer taking levels in Bard, Ranger, or Sorcerer.
