Rather than summon an eidolon to serve by his side, the sentinel fuses his eidolon’s essence into a powerful suit of armor which the summoner wears into battle. However, this is no ordinary armor, rather it serves to enhance the physical capabilities of the summoner as if he were becoming an eidolon himself. The sentinel makes us of Eidolon Armor, as described below, and never gains an ordinary eidolon.
This archetype transforms the summoner from a simple spellcaster supporting a powerful combatant into the powerful combatant himself. While he gains many benefits by creating eidolon armor, he is also limited in that he can no longer act separately while his eidolon fights for him.

Eidolon Armor
Rather than summoning a powerful outsider as a servant, you forge the power of the planes into a powerful suit of armor, which grants a powerful increase to your natural abilities when worn. Your eidolon is not a separate creature but rather a magical item you wear.
Summoning your eidolon armor takes 1 round and provokes attacks of opportunity. You are instantly equipped with your eidolon armor immediately at the start of your next turn.Your eidolon armor can be dismissed as a free action. If you become unconscious, fall asleep, or are killed, your eidolon armor is immediately dismissed.
Your eidolon armor can be summoned for only a limited amount of time each day. You may wear your eidolon armor for up to 10 minutes + 1 additional minute per summoner level. This duration does not need to be consecutive, but it must be spent in 1-minute increments.
Your eidolon armor cannot be sundered, damaged, or destroyed directly, though it can be dismissed by spells and effects that banish outsiders. You make the save as if you were the outsider being targeted. If you fail the save, your eidolon armor is banished, and you are staggered for 1 round.
You cannot summon your eidolon armor while within an antimagic field. Entering such an area does not dismiss the armor if already summoned, but the armor becomes inert and you lose access to any esoteric abilities as normal while you remain within the antimagic field.
You cannot use your summon monster ability while your eidolon armor is summoned.
See Eidolon Armor below for more information on how this version of the eidolon works.
Eidolon Shield
At 4th level, your eidolon armor grants you a +2 shield bonus to Armor Class and a +2 circumstance bonus on saving throws while worn.
Maker’s Jump
At 6th level, while wearing your eidolon armor, you can cast dimension door as a spell-like ability using your caster level. This ability only affects you. You can use this ability once per day at 6th level, plus one additional time per day for every six levels beyond 6th.
Aspect
You can use up to 2 points of your evolution pool on evolutions that apply to you even when not wearing your eidolon armor. You have access to these evolutions at all times, whether or not your eidolon armor is summoned. In all other respects, this ability functions as normal for a summoner.
Greater Eidolon Shield
At 12th level, your eidolon armor grants you a +4 shield bonus to Armor Class and a +4 circumstance bonus on saving throws while worn.
Supreme Eidolon
As a sentinel, you must select the Grand Eidolon version of this ability.
Eidolon Armor
Your eidolon is a suit of armor that you wear rather than a separate being. As such, summoning your eidolon works a bit differently. You gain most of the eidolon’s abilities yourself when you wear your eidolon armor.
Your eidolon armor abilities are determined by your summoner level and by the choices made using your evolution pool. You use Table: Eidolon Base Statistics to determine many of the base statistics of your eidolon armor; however, there are some exceptions as described below.
Eidolon armor cannot be enchanted using the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat or similar abilities; however, it acts as normal armor for the purposes of magic vestment and other spells that target armor.
Eidolon Base Statistics
A sentinel handles these somewhat differently than a normal summoner.
Summoner Level
This is your summoner class level, which is used to determine your other statistics and overall power while wearing your eidolon armor.
HD, BAB, Good Saves and Poor Save, Skill Points, Feats
These entries have no effect on you and are ignored. You use your own statistics for all of these entries.
Armor Bonus
The number noted here is added to the armor bonus granted by your eidolon armor. This bonus is always an armor bonus, not a natural armor bonus. This number is modified by evolutions as normal.
DR
This is the base damage reduction you gain while earing your eidolon armor. Your chosen subtype determines what overcomes the damage reduction and may add additional damage reduction to this bonus. For the purposes of stacking damage reduction, this is considered a bonus from Equipment. All DR gained from the chosen subtype or evolutions increases this bonus, unless stated otherwise.
Str/Dex Bonus
Add this modifier to your Strength and Dexterity scores while wearing your eidolon armor. Some options available through the eidolon’s evolution pool might modify these or other ability scores. This is considered an untyped bonus that stacks with all other bonuses, unless stated otherwise.
Evolution Pool
The value given in this column is the total number of points in your eidolon armor’s evolution pool. Points in this pool can be spent on a wide variety of modifications and upgrades that grant you new abilities, attacks, and powers while you wear your eidolon armor. Whenever you gain a level, the number of points in this pool increases and you can spend these points to change your armor’s abilities. These choices are not set—you can change them whenever you gain a level (and through the transmogrify spell).
Max Attacks
This indicates the maximum number of attacks that your eidolon armor can grant at the given level. If your eidolon armor is at its maximum, you cannot take evolutions that grant additional attacks. If you somehow possess more attacks than this maximum, you must choose which attacks to use and cannot use more attacks in a round than this maximum.
This only applies to attacks granted by the armor. Attacks made with other weapons, including those granted by a high base attack bonus, are never counted against this maximum.
Special Abilities
You do not gain the Link, Share Spells, Ability Score Increase, or Devotion abilities of the Eidolon; however, you gain Darkvision, Evasion, Multiattack, and Improved Evasion as normal while wearing your eidolon armor.
Eidolon Armor Base Form
Your eidolon armor has the following base form. However, for purposes of meeting evolution prerequisites, your eidolon armor is considered to have the base form that most closely resembles your normal form, usually Biped.
Armor
Eidolon Armor takes the shape of a full-body suit of armor. This is considered Light Armor for all purposes. You can cast summoner spells while wearing your eidolon armor without a chance of spell failure; however, arcane spells you cast from other classes incurs the normal arcane spell failure chance from your eidolon armor.
Armor Statistics
AC +2 armor; DR n/a; Max Dex +6; Check Penalty 0; Spell Failure 10%; Weight 0.
Eidolon Armor Subtype
You choose a subtype as normal for an eidolon; however, you cannot choose a subtype with an alignment that has one or more components opposed to your own. For example, a Lawful Good sentinel cannot choose a Devil or Protean subtype.
The chosen subtype otherwise follows the normal rules for selecting a subtype. You gain the evolutions granted based on the base form that most closely resembles your normal form, usually Biped, and the base evolutions of the chosen subtype.
Eidolon Armor Evolutions
You select evolutions for your eidolon armor as if it were an eidolon, limited by base form and subtype as normal. Because these evolutions apply to you, you must meet all prerequisites of the chosen evolutions, but you count any bonuses from your eidolon armor while determining whether or not you meet a prerequisite.
You only gain the benefits of these evolutions while wearing your eidolon armor.
Considerations for Specific Evolutions
Evolutions that Grant Natural Armor
All natural armor increases and bonuses increase the armor bonus granted by the eidolon armor. Eidolon armor never grants a natural armor bonus.
Removed Evolutions
The following evolutions are unavailable to eidolon armor: Alien Consciousness, Amorphous, Mount, Skilled, Swallow Whole, and Weapon Training.
Eidolon Armor and Other Armor
When you summon your eidolon armor, any other armor you wear is absorbed into the eidolon armor. It becomes inert and non-functional. You are treated as if you are no longer wearing the armor. This means that you lose the worn armor’s armor bonus to AC (including any enhancement bonus), damage reduction, and any special abilities it has. If wearing medium or heavy armor, you are no longer hindered by it.
Special Notes
Of special consideration is the Aegis class, which also summons a suit of armor. An aegis wearing Astral Armor or Astral Juggernaut loses the benefits of astral suit while his eidolon armor is summoned. However, an aegis retains the benefits of his astral suit while wearing it as an Astral Skin, because a psychoactive skin is not armor.
While wearing Astral Skin and summoning his Eidolon Armor, an aegis/summoner retains all the benefits of the astral suit except: armor and shield bonuses to AC, damage reduction, armor spikes or other armor add-ons, Extra Arms or other additional limbs, and the Extra Passenger customization.
