Aristocrat

Aristocrats are members of the nobility. They are almost universally born into their title rather than earning it through merit, though some commoners who take on leadership roles, such as being part of the city council, may gain this class instead of a more common one.

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

An Aristocrat is proficient with Basic weapons plus any one other weapon group of your choice. They are proficient with light armor but not with shields.

If not using weapon groups, an Aristocrat is proficient with simple weapons.

Simplified Feats

Aristocrats do not gain feats (except racial bonus feats). Each time that an aristocrat would gain a feat, he instead gains a +1 to all skill checks, +1 to their inspire minions ability, or a magic item worth 1,200 gp or less.

Simplified Skills

Aristocrats do not gain skill points. When an aristocrat makes a skill check, he uses his class level in place of his skill rank for class skills. He has zero ranks in all cross class skills.

Aristocrats from races with the Skilled or Highly Skilled ability choose one additional skill to treat as a class skill but otherwise gain no benefit from that ability.

Inspire Minions

Beginning at 2nd level, any creature with an NPC class who takes part in an encounter while following an aristocrat’s commands gains a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls. There is no maximum range on this ability, but the aristocrat and all NPCs he influences must be involved in the battle to gain this bonus.

Aristocrats never gain this bonus.
