Orc Paragon

Aggressive, brutal, and often at odds with the other humanoid races, orcs view war and conquest as their right. They see combat not as a means to an end but a goal itself. Like members of other paragon classes, orc paragons embody the best of their race, combining the strength and confidence of their people with intelligent observation and a willingness to temper risk with calculation.

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

An Orc Paragon is proficient with Basic weapons plus any two other weapon groups of your choice. They are proficient with light and medium armor but not with shields.

If not using weapon groups, an Orc Paragon is proficient with simple and martial weapons.

Rage

An orc paragon comes to understand and draw upon the natural ferocity that courses through his blood, gaining the ability to fly into a screaming blood frenzy once per day. The effect of this ability is identical with the effect of a barbarian’s rage ability, and orc paragon levels stack with barbarian levels to determine the benefits of his rage.

Sunlight Adaptation

An orc paragon loses his race’s light sensitivity at 1st level.

Favored Enemy

A 2nd-level orc paragon learns to channel his hatred of his tribe’s enemies. He gains a favored enemy as the ranger class feature. If he chooses Humanoid (elf, human) as his favored enemy, the bonus is equal to +3 rather than +2.

This bonus can be increased whenever the orc paragon gains the ability to increase a favored enemy bonus. If he chose Humanoid (elf, human) as his favored enemy, the bonus increases by +3 each time rather than +2.

Improved Darkvision

At 1st level, an orc paragon’s darkvision range increases by 30 feet.

Ability Boost

At 3rd level, an orc paragon’s Strength score increases by 2 points.

Rage Power

At 3rd level, an orc paragon can select one barbarian rage power as if he were a 2nd-level barbarian.
