Most who touch upon the Astral Plane see only emptiness, a plane of endless nothing dotted with only the occasional pocket of reality. However, the Astral Fabricator sees something different: a forge without walls, a workshop without limits, and infinite raw resources just waiting to be shaped by one with the will to grasp them.
Through discipline, creative vision, and a mastery of psionics, the veil between thought and reality can be pierced, transforming the raw dreamstuff of the Astral into great works of artifice in the waking world. Wherever an astral fabricator treads, reality bends to their imagination. They do not merely manifest power, they build it.
Entry Requirements
Skill: Engineering 5 ranks, Psi Lore 5 ranks.
Feats: One or more of the following item creation feats: Craft Construct, Craft Magic Arms and Armor, or Craft Wondrous Item.
Psionics: Must be able to manifest 3rd-level powers. Must know and be able to manifest at least one of the following powers: astral construct, ectoplasmic creation, or ectoplasmic servitor.

Class Features
Psionic Manifesting
At each level except 1st, you progress a psionic manifesting class you already possess. If you possess more than one manifesting class, you must decide to which class you add each new level of progression.
Astral Craftsman
You gain ectoplasmic trinket as a bonus power known if you do not already know it, and you can manifest it as a move action. You can create masterwork tools with this power, provided you success on the Profession check to craft such an item.
In addition, you gain a bonus on all Profession checks made as part of manifesting a power of the metacreativity discipline. This bonus is equal to half your class level, minimum +1.
Finally, when you manifest a metacreativity power, add your class level to the hit points and hardness of any created item and to the hit points (but not hardness) of any created construct.
Ectoplasmic Assistant
Whenever you manifest the ectoplasmic servitor power, you gain the ability to augment it in one of the following ways:
- By spending 2 additional power points, the created servitor gains the ability to assist you with checks made to craft items by making Aid Another checks as you work. It gains access to one of your Profession skills for this purpose. Alternatively, you may have the servitor assist another creature as defined when the power is manifested.
- By spending 2 additional power points, the created servitor gains the ability to repair damaged items and constructs brought within its range. It gains access to one of your Profession skills for this purpose. The servitor will repair the closest valid target from its current location and will continue to repair that target until it is fully repairs or the power’s duration expires. It must be provided with any appropriate tools and raw materials within easy reach.
- By spending 4 additional power points, the created servitor gains the ability to craft non-magical items on its own. It gains access to one of your Profession skills for this purpose. It can be assigned to work on a single item or on multiple copies of the same item, but it cannot create multiple different items. It must be provided with the appropriate tools and raw materials within easy reach. It will work until the power expires or it completes the assigned task, after which the power ends as if it were dismissed. Uncompleted work may be continued by another creature or ectoplasmic servitor.
- For each additional power point spent, the created servitor gains access to one additional Profession skill you possess for the purpose of crafting items. This may be necessary for creating or assisting with complex items.
When using any of these augments, the servitor uses your ranks in the relevant Profession skill but does not add any ability modifier to its skill check. The servitor may take 10 on any checks it makes, but it must be ordered to do so, and it will continue to do so until ordered to roll the checks.
Ecto Protection
When you reach 2nd level, you gain ecto protection as a bonus power known if you do not already know it. When you manifest a metacreativity power that creates an astral construct or ectoplasmic object, you may augment that power as follows:
- By spending one additional power point, you may manifest ecto protection on the construct or object created by the effect of this power. This counts as part of manifesting this power and does not increase the manifesting time. You can augment this manfesting of ecto protection as normal, but the total power point cost of both powers cannot exceed your manifester level, as normal.
Emergency Fabrication
Beginning at 2nd level, you can expend your psionic focus as an immediate action to manifest a psi-like ability that functions as a wall of ectoplasm, except that the duration is 1 round per class level.
You can use this ability once per day. You gain one additional daily use of this ability at 6th level and again at 10th level.
Astral Legion
When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to augment the astral construct power in one additional way:
- For every 3 additional power points you spend, you summon one additional astral construct. Each astral construct must appear adjacent to at least one other construct, and all must appear within range of the power. All created constructs are identical and gain the same menu options.
Boost Construct
At 4th level, whenever you create an astral construct, you can give it one additional special ability from any menu that the construct currently has an ability from. This stacks with the benefit of the Boost Construct feat.
Bonus Feat
You gain a bonus feat at 5th level. The chosen feat must be an Item Creation feat or the Additional Knowledge feat selecting a metacreativity power. You must meet the prerequisites of the chosen feat.
Enduring Creation
Beginning at 5th level, you add your class level to the duration of any metacreativity power you manifest that is measured in rounds per level or in minutes per level, such as astral construct. This ability has no effect on powers with a longer duration longer than 1 minute per level, such as ectoplasmic creation.
