Psychic Fist

Martial artists who work to enhance their cultivation with the power of the mind, psychic fists believe that psionic power is something to be nurtured and developed.

Monks of psionic races are the most common to become psychic fists, although monks who have taken levels in psionic classes could also become psychic fists. As most psychic fists are monks, they are typically of a lawful alignment. However, it is not uncommon that monks who have become nonlawful take up the path of the psychic fist to continue developing their abilities while exploring their psionic potential.

Role

The psychic fist is a front-line fighter who excels at blending his martial prowess with his mental ability to overcome enemies. While they do not have the defensive capabilities of others, they gain unique features that allow them to survive in the fray.

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

A Psychic Fist gains no proficiency with any type of weapon, armor, or shield.

Ki Cultivation

At each level except 1st and 6th, you progress a ki cultivation class you already possess. If you possess more than one cultivator class, you must decide to which class you add each new level of progression.

Psionic Manifesting

Power Points/Day

Your ability to manifest powers is limited by the power points you have available. Your base daily allotment of power points is given on Table: The Psychic Fist. In addition, you receive bonus power points per day if you have a high Wisdom score.

Powers Known

At 1st level, you learn one psychic warrior power of your choice. Each time you achieve a new level, you learn one new power. Choose the powers known from the psychic warrior power list.

You can manifest any power that has a power point cost equal to or lower than your manifester level. The total number of powers you can manifest in a day is limited only by your daily power points.

You simply knows his powers; they are ingrained in your mind. You do not need to prepare them (the way that some spellcasters prepare their spells), though you must get a Long Rest each day to regain all your spent power points.

The Difficulty Class for saving throws against your psychic fist powers is 10 + the power’s level + your Wisdom modifier.

Maximum Power Level Known

At 1st level, you have the ability to learn 1st-level powers. As you attain higher levels, you may gain the ability to master more complex powers. To learn or manifest a power, you must have a Wisdom score of at least 10 + the power’s level.

Unarmed Strike

You gain Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. Your unarmed strike deals damage as a monk of your psychic fist level. If you possess levels of monk, your psychic fist level stacks with your monk level for determining your unarmed strike damage.

Ki Talent

At 2nd level and again at 8th level, you learn one ki talent of your choice.

Infused Body

A 3rd level, your psionic power strengthens your physical form. As long as you maintain psionic focus, you gain damage reduction 1/–. This improves to 2/– at 6th level, and 3/– at 9th level.

This damage reduction stacks with all other forms of damage reduction, but as a supernatural ability, it is suppressed in an area of antimagic or null psionics.

Mesmerizing Glow

Beginning at 4th level, you can spend 1 ki point as a standard action to perform a visually-dazzling display, dazing up to half your class level in targets for one round unless the targets make a successful Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your psychic fist level + your Wisdom modifier). All targets must be within 30 feet of you and have line of sight to you to be affected.

This psionic ki talent has no elemental affinity.

Bonus Feat

At 5th level and again at 10th level, you gain a psionic feat or a ki feat of your choice as a bonus feat. You must meet the prerequisites for the selected feat.

Concentrated Will

Upon achieving 6th level, you learn to harness your ki energy to shrug off attacks that would harm others. Any time you would suffer hit point damage, you may expend your psionic focus and spend 2 ki points as an immediate action and make a Psi Lore check (DC equal to double the damage of the attack) to ignore the damage. If you fail the Psi Lore check, the ki points are still spent and you still take the damage.

This psionic ki talent has no elemental affinity.

Psionic Acrobatics

After reaching 7th level, as long as you maintain psionic focus, you add your Wisdom modifier to your Athletics and Acrobatics checks.

Psychic Fusion

At 10th level, whenever you successfully confirm a critical with a melee attack, you can manifest a power as a swift action. The power must include the target of the attack as one of its targets or in its area of effect and have a normal manifesting time of 1 standard action or less. Manifesting this power does not provoke an attack of opportunity.
