Your voice is bright and energetic, capable of invigorating even the faintest spark of life.
This veil grants you the power to convince creatures to live even when they might otherwise die. As an immediate action when a creature within 30 feet of you is reduced to less than 1/4 of their maximum hit points, you can heal that creature of 1d8 points of damage.
Any individual creature can only be affected by this veil a number of times per day equal to your veilweaving modifier.
Essence
For every 2 points of essence invested in this veil, the damage healed increases by 1d8.
Chakra Bind (Voice)
If you possess the Blessed Land ability, the basic ability of this veil can target any creature within the range of that ability while this veil is bound to your voice chakra.
In addition, binding this veil allows you to hold creatures in the land of living even past the point of death. If you have healed a creature with the basic ability of this veil within the past 24 hours, it is protected from death. The first time that creature would die from hit point loss, it is prevented from dying for a number of round equal to your veilweaving modifier. If the creature’s hit point total is at a negative amount great enough to kill it when this effect ends, that creature dies as normal.
For each point of essence invested in this veil, this effect lasts for an additional round. If you have at least 5 points of essence invested in this veil, a creature affected by this veil’s bind effect remains conscious and can continue fighting even though its hit point total is below 0. Taking any standard action (or any other action the GM deems strenuous, including some free actions) deals 1 point of damage to the creature after the completion of the act.
A creature can only gain this benefit once per day.
