A ring of faintly pulsing energy coils about your finger, gazing into the light refracted through the gem gem affixed to it gives glimpses into different possible futures within its cascading distortion.
As a standard action you can touch a willing creature and grant it a +1 competence bonus on a single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check. It must choose to use the bonus before making the roll to which it applies. This bonus is lost if it is not used within 1 minute.
Essence
For each point of essence invested in this veil, the duration of this ability increases by 1 minute and the target can use it one additional time within that duration. Changing the essence invested in this veil after a target has been affected doesn’t change the duration or number of times the target can use the bonus.
