Your soul burns with the powers of unlife, corrupted by the spirit of the ancient ruler of the damned.
Weaving this veil alters your soul, imbuing you with profaned essence and warping your reaction to the powers of life and death. You are treated as an undead creature rather than a living creature for the purposes of effects that affect living and undead creatures, gain resistance 3 to cold and electricity damage (or an increase to your existing cold and electricity resistances) and a +1 bonus to your natural armor.
A number of times per day equal to 1 + your veilweaving modifier (minimum 2/day), you may use a swift action to channel the profane energies of this veil to heal yourself for 1d6 points of damage.
This veil cannot be sundered or dealt damage. It can still be suppressed or dismissed through other effects. While this veil is woven (even if it suppressed or frayed), you are healed by negative energy and damaged by positive energy.
Essence
For each point of essence invested in this veil, the amount you heal yourself with this veil is increased by 1d6, and the cold and electricity resistance provided by the veil increases by 3. For every two points of essence invested, the veil’s bonus to natural armor increases by 1. When 11 or more points of essence are invested in this veil, you instead gain immunity to cold and electricity damage.
Chakra Bind (Belt)
Binding this veil to your Belt chakra allows you to separate a fraction of your soul into an askashic vessel, allowing your spirit to rejuvenate your body in the case of your death. When you first weave and bind this veil, you create an akashic phylactery. This phylactery weighs 5 pounds, has 40 hit points, hardness 20, and a break DC of 40. This phylactery persists even if this veil is unraveled, but has no effects if you are killed without weaving this veil. You can recreate a destroyed phylactery or replace an existing phylactery once per month when you weave this veil. If you choose to replace an existing phylactery, any currently existing phylactery is destroyed.
If you are slain while this veil is woven and your phylactery has not been destroyed, your akashic phylactery immediately begins to rebuild your body at its location. This process takes 1d10 days, after which you awaken in your new body fully healed with all of your veils woven, 2 permanent negative levels, and none of your equipment. After you awaken, your phylactery is destroyed, and you must wait one month before you can create a new one.
If your body is destroyed while it is being rebuilt, the phylactery begins to build you a new body immediately. If the phylactery is destroyed during this time, you are slain.
Chakra Bind (Body)
Binding this veil to your Body chakra provides you all the benefits of binding it to your Belt chakra, save that the process of rebuilding your body only takes 1 day, you do not gain any negative levels upon awakening, and your phylactery is not destroyed as part of the process.
