Sword of Kingship

[Enhanced (longsword)]

Class:
Chakra: Hands, Wrist

You can weave akashic energy into a longsword sized appropriately for you as a free action. If this sword leaves your grasp, it disappears at the end of your turn.

Attacks and sunder attempts made with this veil ignore 1 point of damage reduction and 2 points of hardness.

If you possess the Blessed Land class feature, you gain additional benefits with this veil.

  • While using My People Will Flourish, you gain an insight bonus to attack rolls made with this veil equal to twice the luck bonus granted by your blessed land ability.
  • While using My Enemies Will Suffer, you gain an insight bonus to damage rolls made with this veil equal to twice the penalty to saves inflicted by your blessed land ability.

Essence

For each point of essence invested in this veil, attacks and sunder attempts ignore 1 additional point of DR and 2 additional points of hardness.

Chakra Bind (Hands)

Binding this veil to your Hands chakra allows you to make a special sunder attempt using the veil that can cut through even the toughest defenses. As a standard action, you can make a sunder attempt using this veil against a single object or veil within your reach. If you succeed, the sunder deals triple its normal damage and ignores three times as much hardness as normal. Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again for 1 minute.

Chakra Bind (Wrist)

Binding this veil to your Wrists chakra allows you to generously share your gifts with your allies.

For every two points of essence invested in this veil, you can grant one veil you have woven to an ally. This is a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity. You must touch the ally to grant the veil, and the ally may not already have a veil woven to the chakra slot of the granted veil.

When you grant a veil to an ally, the veil is suppressed for you, meaning you lose any benefits or other effects of the veil while the ally possesses the granted veil. The ally immediately gains the granted veil and all effects of that veil. Any essence you had invested into the veil when you grant it to an ally is returned to your essence pool. The granted veil cannot be bound to the ally’s chakra, even if the ally is normally able to bind veils to the granted veil’s chakra.

The ally uses your veilweaver level for the granted veil but uses their own ability scores, essence capacity, and other abilities when determining the effects of the veil. If the ally is a veilweaver, they use their own veilweaving modifier, otherwise they use the same ability score as your veilweaving modifier. (When a Fisherking grants a veil, the ally will typically use Charisma as their veilweaving modifier for the granted veil.) If the ally possesses essence, they can invest it into the veil as normal.

If the ally moves more than 30 feet away from you, the granted veil is suppressed while the ally remains out of range. However, if you possess the Blessed Land ability, the granted veil functions anywhere within the range of that ability.

The original veil remains with you, though it is suppressed while granted to another. The veil remains tied to your chakras, occupying that slot and preventing you from weaving a new veil to that chakra while the granted veil remains woven. If either the original veil or the granted veil is unraveled or destroyed, it is unraveled for for both your ally and yourself.

This veil cannot be granted to an ally.
