The Duelist

[Title]

Class:Rajah
Chakra: Belt, Hands

A scarlet sash sits snugly across the hips of the Duelist. Every duel won is marked by a golden notch across the sash.

The entitled gains the ability to mark an enemy as a swift action. This enemy remains marked until they reach 0 or fewer hit points, is knocked unconscious, or one minute after combat ends. The entitled may only mark one enemy at a time with this veil and may not mark a creature while they already have a creature marked.

While an enemy is marked, the entitled gains a +2 competence bonus to AC and saving throws against all attacks and effects from creatures other than the marked target.

The entitled also gains a +2 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls against the marked target.

Essence

Each point of essence invested in this veil increases this veil’s bonuses to AC and attack rolls by 1.

Every two points of essence increases this veil’s bonuses to saving throws and weapon damage rolls by 1.

Chakra Bind (Hands)

While bound to the Hands chakra, this veil grants the entitled the benefit of the Combat Reflexes feat.

In addition, they gain one additional attack of opportunity per round for every 3 points of essence invested in this veil.

Chakra Bind (Belt)

While bound to the belt chakra, the entitled is able to better disrupt their marked target’s attacks.

Once per round, when the entitled hits their marked target, the veilweaver who bestowed this title gains a point of temporary essence that is immediately invested into this veil, even if it would exceed this veil’s essence limit. This temporary essence cannot be removed from this veil and lasts for as long as the target remains marked.

The entitled also gains the ability to make a counter attack against his marked target once per round. If the marked target makes an attack against the entitled, it provokes an attack of opportunity, which is resolved immediately before the marked target’s attack.

If the marked target’s attack is a spell or ability that could be disrupted, the damage dealt is applied to the concentration check as normal for taking damage while casting. In addition, the entitled’s AC against the marked target’s attack is equal to the total attack roll of the entitled’s attack of opportunity.
