Your steps leave behind a disruption in the energy flows of the world, warping space and making the path you travel difficult to pass.
Whenever you move through a space, you leave behind a field of disruption that causes all creatures other than you to treat that space as difficult terrain until the beginning of your next turn. This difficult terrain is a force effect, affecting even incorporeal creatures and ignoring most effects that allow a creature to ignore difficult terrain (an ability that would allow you to ignore difficult terrain by warping space would ignore this, as an example).
As a free action, you can designate a single creature you can see and allow it to ignore the effects of this veil until you choose to designate another creature using this ability or the veil is suppressed or unraveled.
Essence
For each point of essence invested in this veil, you may allow an additional creature you can see to ignore the effects of this veil. If you remove essence from this veil while creatures are designated, an equal number of them lose this benefit.
Chakra Bind (Headband)
Binding this veil to your Headband chakra further amplifies the field of disruption created by this veil. In addition to acting as difficult terrain, the first time a creature attempts to enter a space affected by this veil each turn they must make a Will saving throw. If they fail, they fail to enter the field of disruption and cannot attempt to enter another space affected by this veil until the beginning of their next turn. A creature moved involuntarily into one of these spaces (such as by forced movement from a combat maneuver, or from falling) does not make a save and passes through the area as normal even if they had previously failed a save this round.
Chakra Bind (Belt)
Binding this veil to your Belt chakra grants you all the benefits of the Headband chakra and causes you to continuously emit a field of disruption around you. You gain a 5-foot radius aura. All spaces within this aura are constantly affected by the disruption effect of this veil, even if you don’t move. For every 3 points of essence invested in this veil, the radius of this aura increases by 5 feet.
In addition, creatures that enter a space affected by this veil provoke an attack of opportunity from you if you threaten that space.
