Art and music has a magic of their own, a magic which you learn to harness into powerfully inspiring auras, bringing hope and joy or fear and dread to those who hear you.
Unless otherwise noted, an inspiration aura affects all allies within 30 feet who can hear you, including yourself. A beneficial inspiration aura affects you and your allies, while a harmful inspiration aura affects only your enemies. Manifesting an inspiration aura is a swift action, and it remains in effect until you dismiss it, become unable to take actions (such as becoming unconscious, dazed, nauseated, paralyzed, or stunned), or are killed.
Manifesting an inspiration aura requires you to be able to sing, play an instrument, or otherwise perform. An ally or enemy must be able to hear you to be affected by the inspiration aura.
All inspiration auras are mind-affecting effects.
The benefits of multiple inspiration auras do not stack, even if the bonus is untyped.
Save DC
The save DC for an inspiration aura is equal to 10 + 1/2 your class level + your Cha modifier + your aura bonus, unless otherwise stated.
Inspiration Aura Effects
Each inspiration aura provides a specific bonus to allies or penalty to enemies within range of your aura.
Inspire Competence
You can inspire competence within your allies, allowing them to perform skills with greater ease. Unlike other inspiration auras, this aura does not affect you. When you manifest this aura, choose one skill. This aura grants allies a competence bonus to the chosen skill equal to twice your aura bonus.
This aura is limited in some ways by the fact that it must be heard to be effective, making some uses impossible or particularly difficult. For example, it would provide limited to no benefit if you select Stealth when attempt to act without being heard. However, the benefit might still apply since you are being loud enough to serve as a distraction.
Inspire Courage
You bolster the spirit and resolve of your allies. This aura grants allies a morale bonus equal to your aura bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saves against fear and charm effects.
Inspire Cowardice
Your aura fosters cowardice in the hearts of your enemies. This aura inflicts enemies with a morale penalty to saves and AC equal to your aura bonus.
Inspire Doubt
You invoke fear and anxiety in your foes. Enemies affected by this aura suffer a morale penalty equal to your aura bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saves against fear and charm effects.
Inspire Dread
On a failed save, enemies within this aura become shaken. They remain shaken as long at they remain within the aura. This ability does not progress fear, even if the target is already shaken. This is a fear effect.
Inspire Fascination
Enemies affected by this aura become fascinated on a failed save. Each creature to be fascinated must be able to see and hear you and able to pay attention to you. You must also be able to see the creature. The distraction of a nearby combat or other dangers prevents the ability from working.
Inspire Greatness
When you manifest this aura, allies within its area gain temporary hit points equal to 5 × your aura bonus and a morale bonus to attack rolls and Fortitude saves equal to half your aura bonus (rounded down). Lost temporary hit points are restored at a rate of 1 per minute that the ally remains within this aura. Dismissing and manifesting this aura does not restore lost temporary hit points; they must be restored over time by this aura’s effects.
Inspire Heroics
The ideal of heroism allows your allies to better defend themselves. This aura grants a morale bonus to saves and a dodge bonus to AC equal to your aura bonus.
Inspire Ineptitude
You distract, annoy, and harass your enemies, preventing them from functioning at their best. When you manifest this aura, choose one skill. This aura inflicts enemies with a circumstance penalty to the chosen skill equal to your aura bonus.
Inspire Resilience
This aura wraps protective magics around your allies, reinforcing their ability to resist damage. This aura grants you and your allies damage reduction 2/magic for each point of your aura bonus and energy resistance to all energy types equal to twice your aura bonus.
