Psionic Auras

A psionic creature’s ability to project belief and intent into the world often results in the creation of a psionic aura. Each psionic aura is directly connected to a particular psionic node, which exist as a knot of collective belief about a particular concept. It in by tapping into that power of shared belief which gives psionic auras their power. The aura related to a node always expresses some conceptual aspect of that node.

Unless otherwise noted, a psionic aura affects creatures within 30 feet who have line of effect to you, including yourself. A beneficial psionic aura affects you and your allies, while a harmful psionic aura affects only your enemies. Manifesting a psionic aura is a swift action, and it remains in effect until you dismiss it, become unconscious, or die, even if you are otherwise unable to act.

The benefits of multiple psionic auras do not stack, even if the bonus is untyped.

Psionic Aura Effects

Each psionic aura provides a specific bonus to allies or penalty to enemies within range of your aura.

Chicanery Node

This aura grants you and your allies a psionic bonus equal to your aura bonus on Deception and Streetwise checks.

Chronology Node

Allies within your aura gain a psionic bonus on initiative checks and Reflex saves.

Cognition Node

This aura grants you and your allies a psionic bonus equal to your aura bonus on Academics, Linguistics, and Psi Lore checks. This bonus stacks with the granted ability of this node.

Ectoplasm Node

Astral constructs and ectoplasmic objects and effects within your aura are treated as if under the effects of ecto protection with a bonus to DC and saving throws equal to your aura bonus. This applies even if you didn’t manifest the construct, object, or effect. This does not stack with the benefits of the ecto protection power.

Incursion Node

This aura grants you and your allies a psionic bonus on attack rolls and weapon damage rolls made as part of a charge attack and to CMB checks when attempting to overrun an enemy.

Medicament Node

When you use an ability to heal a creature while this aura is active, you can spend a swift action to add twice your aura bonus to the total number of hit points healed.

Mind Over Matter Node

This aura grants you and your allies a psionic bonus to your CMD equal to your aura bonus.

Obduracy Node

This aura grants you and your allies damage reduction 2/magic for each point of your aura bonus.

In addition, you may expend your psionic focus as an immediate action when you or an ally within 10 feet is hit by an attack. Against that one attack, the damage reduction from this aura becomes DR 2/— per point of your aura bonus.

Transvection Node

This aura lowers the pull of gravity on your allies and yourself, allowing those affected to ignore 1 square of difficult terrain for every point of aura bonus. In addition, you and your allies gain a psionic bonus equal to your aura bonus on all Aerial Acrobatics checks.
