When you first gain this invocation, you choose a single creature that can be summoned with the summon monster I spell. You form a magical pact with the chosen creature, binding it as your servant. Each time you cast this invocation, you summon that same creature. This functions as the summon monster I spell, except as described here.
If your summoned servant is slain, it cannot be summoned again until after you complete a long rest; however, you may still summon any other servants you possess.
You may only have one servant summoned with this invocation at a time. Casting it a second time immediately dismisses any previous casting, even if you use it to summon a different creature.
