Target: | You |
Duration: | 1 round/level |
You generate an ectoplasmic duplicate of yourself, confusing your enemies as to your true location. You “throw” a new ectoform automatically at the start of each of your turns, which requires no action on your part. The ectoform fissions seamlessly from your own form or from an earlier generated ectoform and immediately moves to an adjacent space. (Alternatively, if you take a 5-ft step as your first action, you can move, leaving the ectoform in your original location.) If there is no empty space adjacent to you or an existing ectoform, no new ectoform is generated in that round.
You may have a maximum number of ectoforms equal to your manifester level. If you have reached this limit, a random ectoform dissipates when the new one is created. All existing ectoforms dissipate when this power ends. However, if you manifest this power a second time while the first is active, existing ectoforms are maintained by the second manifestation as if they were part of that power.
An ectoform is a mindless construct with AC equal to 10 + your size modifier + your Dex modifier and is instantly destroyed if successfully attacked or targeted by any spell, power, or esoteric effect (even harmless ones), or if they otherwise take damage no matter how slight.
Each ectoform appears identical to you and mimics your movements, sounds, and actions exactly, but true seeing reveals them to be fakes. When you move, the ectoforms also move, shuffling around to confuse your enemies. Ectoforms have the same movement speeds that you do and always end movement adjacent to you or another ectoform. You have no control over your ectoforms and cannot issue orders to them.
