You create a magical trap that occupies a 5-ft. square. Any creature that enters that square triggers an explosion similar to a fireball that deals 1d6 points of fire damage per two caster levels (maximum 10d6) in the trapped square and half that amount to all other creatures within 10 feet. Unattended objects also take this damage. The explosion creates almost no pressure.

You may pass through your own flame ward without triggering it.
