Not all individuals see their psicrystals as expendable scouts, but rather as cherished friends and trusted advisors -after all, they are listening to a facet of themselves and who could be more loyal to you than yourself? Some choose to have them implanted into their spine or at the base of their skulls to hide the crystal, while others implant the crystal shard in their forehead forming a mythical “third eye” while warriors tend to have them implanted into the hand or chest, often sporting custom made armor to show off the crystal to their enemies.

Benefit
You implant your psicrystal into your own body, gaining an even closer connection to you but losing the ability to move independently.
An implanted psicrystal grants special abilities to you, as shown on Table: Implanted Psicrystal Special Abilities below. This replaces all of the normal special abilities granted to a psicrystal, causing it to lose any such abilities it has already gained. The statistics from the Psicrystal Basics section are calculated as normal.

Implanted Psicrystal Ability Descriptions
All implanted psicrystals impart special abilities to their owners depending on the level of the owner, as shown on the table. The abilities on the table are cumulative.
It is also important to note that an implanted psicrystal does not physically manifest as a separate creature and cannot be targeted in any way. It is always considered to be in direct contact with its owner for all purposes.
Initiative Bonus (Ex)
This number noted here is an improvement to your Initiative score as the psicrystal helps you react and act faster than would be possible for you otherwise.
Alertness and Personality
These special abilities function the same as for a standard psicrystal of equivalent level.
Telepathic Link (Su)
You have a telepathic link with your psicrystal. You can communicate telepathically as if the psicrystal were the target of a mindlink power manifested by you. Because of the telepathic link between you and your psicrystal, you can react to events which the psicrystal perceives (illustrated in the Initiative bonus above).
In addition, once per day you can roll two d20 when making a non-physical skill check and take the best result as the psicrystal helps you find a new way to manage a problem.
Sighted (Ex)
Although it has no physical sensory organs, an implanted psicrystal can telepathically sense its environment as well as a creature with normal vision and hearing. Darkness (even supernatural darkness) is irrelevant, as are areas of supernatural silence, though a psicrystal still can’t discern invisible or ethereal beings. A psicrystal’s sighted range is 40 feet. As the owner of an implanted psicrystal, you gain the full benefits of this ability, allowing you to sense everything within 40 feet.
Telepathic Speech (Ex)
If you are 5th level or higher, you and the implanted psicrystal may communicate telepathically with any creature within 30 feet that has a language.
Focused Personality (Ex)
At 7th level or higher, the implanted psicrystal’s personality becomes empowered by its direct connection to you, and any bonuses granted by its personality increase by +2. This increase affects all personalities in an implanted psicrystal.
In addition, you increase your his Will-save by +2 as your mind is strengthened by your companion.
Resistant Mind (Ex)
If you are 11th level or higher, once per day, when you fail a saving throw against a mind-affecting effect, as an immediate action you can shunt that effect into your implanted psicrystal’s consciousness instead. When you do so, you are not affected by the mind-affecting effect, but for the normal duration of that effect, you lose the bonuses on Initiative and the personality bonus the psicrystal provides and can’t use this ability to shunt a mind-affecting effect into the psicrystal’s consciousness.
