You can alter your smite ability, channeling that power into greater aptitude for performing combat maneuvers.
Prerequisites
Charisma 13, zeal class feature, smite ability, base attack bonus +5.
Benefit
When you make a combat maneuver attempt, you can spend a point of zeal as a free action to empower it with your smite ability. You add the bonus to your attack roll from the smite to your combat maneuver check. If the combat maneuver deals damage, you deal additional damage as normal for the smite.
If the creature you target with this combat maneuver is not a valid target for your smite, the combat maneuver immediately fails, and you deal no damage to the target.
