You gain additional power points by limiting your powers known for the day.

Benefit
When you regain power points after a Long Rest, you can choose to sequester one or more powers known for the day. When you sequester a power, you lose access to it for the day, as if it were no longer on your list of powers known. In exchange, you gain a number of bonus power points equal to the power point cost to manifest the sequestered power.
You cannot sequester so many powers that you have no remaining powers available of a given power level. So, if you know three 1st-level powers and two 2nd-level powers, you could sequester up to two of your 1st-level powers and one of your 2nd-level powers, gaining a total of 5 bonus power points.
Sequestered powers become available again at the end of a Long Rest when you regain power points. At that time, you can again choose whether or not to sequester some of your powers known.
