A vizier that chooses this path seeks power beyond himself, drawing on faceless forces and strange entities like the witches are often known to do. He can call upon the power of hexes and other gifts gleaned from these forces.
Hexwoven Band (Su)
As a hexweaver, at 1st level, you gain the ability to draw forth fragments of unearthly power, weave them with gossamer threads of akasha, and wear these creations as rings upon your fingers. You count as having the hex class feature and select one common hex from the list available to the witch.
To gain the uses or benefit of the selected hex it must be woven as a veil. When weaving veils for the day, you may weave a hex you know into a veil that fills your Ring slot. A hex woven in this way is called a Hexwoven Band. You gain the benefits or uses of that hex as if you were a witch of a level equal to your vizier level.
Hexwoven bands can be invested with essence and follow the normal rules for veils including hardness, essence capacity, slot limitations, and suppression. Any benefits of a hexwoven band are lost so long as it is suppressed. The DC to resist a hexwoven band’s hex effects is 10 + the number of points of essence invested in it + your veilweaving modifier.
If you gain additional hexes from sources other than this path, you must weave them as hexwoven bands to use them or gain their benefits (unless you have gained the ability to use hexes from another source, such as levels in the witch class). Hexes gained via this ability must always be woven as hexwoven bands to gain their benefits, even if you have gained the ability to use hexes from another source.
Any creature currently created or controlled by one of your woven veils counts as a witch’s familiar for any hexes that require a familiar, and such a creature can deliver the touch for an activated hex just like a witch’s familiar.
If you do not have a hexwoven band woven, you instead gain a competence bonus to AC and on all saving throws against attacks or effects created by witches and hags. This bonus is equal to the number of hexes that have been gained through the Path of the Hexweaver.
At 5th level, you select a second hex and gain the ability to weave more than one hex into your hexwoven band. For every two points of essence invested into the hexwoven band when you first weave it, you can weave one additional hex for the day. This essence cannot be removed from the veil as long as it remains woven, and if it is lost through essence burn or damage or otherwise forcibly removed, the hexwoven band becomes Frayed, making it Inert and intangible, completely unusable until it is repaired or rewoven, with any essence remaining in it immediately lost to essence burn.
If you are capable of weaving multiple veils to your Ring slot, you can weave multiple hexwoven bands, assigning a different hex to each veil and gaining its benefits. In addition, you can use your veilshifting ability to change the hex or hexes granted by your hexwoven band to another you possess. If you use your veilshifting ability to reduce the number of hexes woven into the veil, the essence can be removed from it safely.
At 9th level, you select a witch patron and gain the ability to bind hexwoven bands to your Ring chakra to gain the following benefit. Once per day, you can take a point of essence burn to cast a spell from the list granted by your selected patron as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to your class level. You can only use this ability to cast a spell that could be cast by a witch of your vizier level.
At 13th and 17th levels, you gain a common hex or major hex from the list of hexes available to the witch.
