Akashic Warrior

Blending sweat and steel with akashic power, the akashic warrior is a pillar of the battlefield, adding a supernatural edge to his weapons and armor while fearlessly shrugging off darksome spells that might seek to turn him from his course.

Class Features

An Akashic Warrior does not gain the Situational Awareness, Armor Mastery, and Weapon Mastery class features.

Bonus Feats

When gaining a Fighter bonus feat, you can select from any Akashic feat, Combat feat, or Style feat or any of the following: Weave Veil, Unlock Low Chakra, Unlock Middle Chakra, and Unlock Higher Chakra. You must meet the prerequisites of the chosen feat.

You may use your Fighter class level as your effective veilweaver level to meet the prerequisites of an Akashic feat.

You do not gain the standard bonus feat at 2nd level.

Essence Pool

At 2nd level, you gain an essence pool equal to 1/2 your class level.

This replaces the bonus feat normally gained at level 2.

Akashic Resolve

At 2nd level you can fortify your stubborn resolve and determination with essence. For each point of essence invested into this ability you gain a +1 bonus to Fortitude save and saves vs. fear and enchantment (compulsion) effects.

This replaces Situational Awareness.

Combat Focus

You gain access to a special Combat Focus option at 3rd level, allowing you to specialize in your akashic abilities if you so choose. You may choose to select either this Combat Focus or one of the standard options as normal.

Essence of Combat

Combat Focus I

You gain access to the Essence of the Warrior veil set. You know and can weave any veils that are part of this set.

Your veilweaving modifier is Wisdom. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against your veils is 10 + the number of essence invested in the veil + your veilweaving modifier. Your veilweaver level is equal to your class level.

You can weave only one veil at a time.

You gain 1 point of essence.

Combat Focus II

The maximum number of veils you can weave at a time increases to 2, and you gain 1 point of essence.

Combat Focus III

The maximum number of veils you can weave at a time increases to 3, and you gain 1 point of essence.

In addition, the essence capacity of all your akashic receptacles increases by +1.

Combat Focus IV

The maximum number of veils you can weave at a time increases to 4, and you gain 1 point of essence.

Combat Focus V

The maximum number of veils you can weave at a time increases to 5, and you gain 1 point of essence.

In addition, the essence capacity of all your akashic receptacles increases by another +1.

Essential Armaments

Starting at 3rd level you gain the ability to fortify your armor with essence, making it lighter and more responsive. For each point of essence invested in this ability you lower the armor check penalty of armor and shields you wear by 1 and increase the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed by your armor by 1.

You also gain a dodge bonus to armor class against attacks of opportunity that you provoke equal to the number of essence invested in this ability.

If you have at least 2 points of essence in this ability, you can also move at your normal speed while wearing medium armor.

If you have at least 3 points of essence invested, you can move at your normal speed while wearing heavy armor.

This replaces Armor Mastery.

Steel Bond

At 6th level you gain the ability to channel essence into your wielded weapons, allowing them to strike with greater accuracy and force. You gain a +1 insight bonus to attack and damage with wielded weapons per point of essence invested in this ability. You also gain a +1 insight bonus to CMB with any maneuver that uses a weapon and to CBD against any maneuver that targets your weapon per point of essence invested in this ability.

This replaces Weapon Mastery.
