Drain Akashic Essence

Supernatural attack or ability which deals deals damage as energy drain or ability drain. This ability cannot be gained from the effects of spells, powers, veils, or other esoterica.

If you do not already possess the ability to steal essence, you gain a stolen essence pool.

You can benefit from one or both of the following abilities, depending on which attacks or special abilities you possess.

Ability Drain

Any attack or ability which inflicts ability drain also grants you a number of points of stolen essence equal to the ability drain dealt. If the target creature has an essence pool, it also takes 1 point of essence damage.

Energy Drain

Any attack or ability which inflicts negative levels can be modified to also drain essence. You gain 1 point of stolen essence for every negative level you inflict on a target. This applies no damage to a target’s essence beyond the 1 point normally lost when gaining a negative level.

The benefits of this feat apply to all attacks or abilities you possess which inflict negative levels or ability drain, except as described below.

The benefits of this feat cannot be applied to temporary esoteric effects (spells, powers, veils, etc.) nor to abilities or attacks which already grant stolen essence.
