By expending your psionic focus when you imbue a weapon with a psychic strike, your next successful psychic strike will roll d10s for damage rather than d8s. So, for example, if your psychic strike normally adds 3d8 additional damage, an empowered psychic strike will instead deal 3d10 additional damage.
