You can shape your mind blade into a shield.

Benefit
As a move action, you can shape your mind blade into an appropriately sized light shield (+1 shield bonus to AC). This shield has the same general appearance and properties as your mind blade (hardness 10, 10 hit points, and dissipates if you drop it). You can wield a mind shield and a mind blade at the same time, but you must materialize each as a separate action.
If you have the Mind Blade Enhancement class feature, you can apply any amount of the bonus that you choose to your mind shield, but this reduces the amount that can be applied to your mind blade. For example, if you have Mind Blade Enhancement +3, you could add a +2 bonus to your mind shield but only a +1 to your mind blade. You cannot add special abilities to your mind shield in this way; however, you can spend a +1 bonus to add shield spikes to it.
You are considered proficient with your mind shield as both a shield and as a weapon (such as when making a shield bash).
