Benefit
This feat grants you the ability to transform a suitable creature into a familiar or call a familiar to join you. Doing so takes 24 hours and uses up magical materials that cost 100 gp. A familiar is a magical beast that resembles a small animal and is unusually tough and intelligent. The creature serves as a companion and servant.
You choose the kind of familiar you get. As the you advance your arcane spellcaster level, your familiar also increases in power.
Your familiar’s effective level is equal to the sum of all your levels that grant or advance arcane spellcasting, maximum equal to your Hit Dice.
