Untwisting Iron Skin

[Ki, Style]

Your training has tempered your flesh to resist blows as though it were forged iron.

Prerequisites

Benefit

When using Perfect Style and steel stance, you can increase the damage reduction granted by that stance by sundering items. When you break an item with at least hardness 10, steel stance’s damage reduction increases by 1 for a number of rounds equal to half the item’s hit points (maximum 10 rounds); the value of this damage reduction increases by 1 for every 5 points of hardness above 10 the broken item possessed.

You can spend 1 ki point as a free action to double the damage reduction granted by this feat for 1 round.

For example, a 13th-level monk normally gains DR 10/adamantine from her steel stance. If she sunders an item with hardness 20 and 10 hit points while using Perfect style, her damage reduction would increase to DR 13/adamantine. Each round that she spends 1 ki point as a free action while this bonus remains, her damage reduction increases to DR 16/adamantine for that round.

Special

This feat counts as Greater Sunder for the purpose of meeting prerequisites.
