Dragonblood Inheritance

[Draconic, Spellcasting]

By invoking the inherited power of your dragon ancestor's bloodline, you create a useful magical effect.

Prerequisites

Draconic Bloodline, character level 3rd, bloodline level 1st, ability to spontaneously cast arcane spells.

Benefit

By expending an arcane spell slot, you can create a magical effect based on your draconic bloodline. Each bloodline produces a different effect. In addition, stronger bloodlines produce stronger effects, which stack with the benefits granted by weaker bloodlines.

The save DC of the created effect, if any, is DC 10 + the level of the expended spell slot + your Charisma modifier.

Black Dragon Bloodline

As a standard action, you can expend an arcane spell slot to produce one dose of a deadly contact poison. The initial and secondary damage of this poison deals 1d6 damage per spell level and inflicts 1 level of exhaustion, to a maximum of 5. A successful Fortitude save negates the exhaustion and halves the damage.

The dose of poison persists for a number of rounds equal to your bloodline level, after which it dissipates. You may only have a single dose of this poison at a time. Creating a new dose causes any unused poison to dissipate into a harmless gas but does not remove poison that has affected a creature.

You may apply this poison to a surface or weapon as a free action without risking poisoning yourself, and you are immune to this poison.

An intermediate black dragon bloodline increases the initial and secondary damage to 1d8 per spell level and adds +1 to the save DC.

Blue Dragon Bloodline

You can expend an arcane spell slot to cast a spell-like ability as a standard action. When you cast this ability, a number of missiles of magical energy equal to the spell level dart forth from your fingertip and strike their targets, each dealing 1d4+1 points of electricity damage. The missiles can target creatures within close range (25 ft. + 5 ft. per 2 Hit Dice).

The missiles strike unerringly, even if the target is in melee combat or has less than total cover or total concealment. Specific parts of a creature can’t be singled out. If you shoot multiple missiles, you can have them strike a single creature or several creatures, but no two creatures targeted can be more than 20 feet apart. Each missile can strike only one creature.

If you have at least 5 bloodline levels, creatures targeted by this ability become paralyzed for 1 round on a failed Fortitude save. If multiple missiles target the same creature, it only makes a single saving throw against the paralysis.

An intermediate blue dragon bloodline increases the damage to 1d6+2 per spell level and adds +2 to the save DC for the paralysis.

Brass Dragon Bloodline

Like a brass dragon you can exhale a cloud of toxic gas that afflicts enemies with magical sleep. You can expend an arcane spell slot as a standard action to create a 15-ft cone of sleeping gas. This causes a magical slumber to come upon any number of creatures whose total Hit Dice do not exceed twice your bloodline level. So, if you have a bloodline level of 3, you can affect up to 6 Hit Dice of creatures. A successful Will save negates this effect.

Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first. Among creatures with equal HD, those who are closest to you are affected first. Hit Dice that are not sufficient to affect a creature are wasted.

Sleeping creatures are helpless. Slapping or wounding awakens an affected creature, but normal noise does not. Awakening a creature is a standard action (an application of the aid another action). This ability does not target unconscious creatures, constructs, or undead creatures.

An intermediate brass dragon bloodline increases the number of affected Hit Dice to 3 × your bloodline level and adds +2 to the save DC.

Bronze Dragon Bloodline

As a swift action, you can expend an arcane spell slot to fill the area with a repulsion gas like a bronze dragon. Creatures within 20 feet of you must make a successful Will save or be compelled to do nothing but move away from you on their next round. This is a mind-affecting compulsion enchantment effect. You may choose to allow allies to ignore this compulsion.

An intermediate bronze dragon bloodline increases the range to 30 feet and adds +2 to the save DC.

Copper Dragon Bloodline

You can expend an arcane spell slot as a full-round action to expel a thick, cloying fog that slows your enemies. The fog extends 20 feet from you. Enemies that enter the fog must make a successful Will save or become slowed. Affected creatures remain slowed even after leaving the fog, and those that make their saves must make a new save if they reenter the fog.

The fog lasts for a number of rounds equal to the level of the expended spell slot, but it does not affect vision. Affected creatures are no longer slowed as soon as the fog dissipates.

An intermediate copper dragon bloodline increases the range to 30 feet and adds +2 to the save DC.

Gold Dragon Bloodline

As a standard action, you can expend an arcane spell slot to breath out a 15-foot cone of weakening gas. Creatures within the cone must make a successful Fortitude save or take a penalty to Strength equal to 1d6+1. This penalty lasts for a number of minutes equal to your bloodline level and does not stack with itself.

An intermediate gold dragon bloodline increases the Strength penalty to 1d6+2 and adds +2 to the save DC. A major gold dragon bloodline increases the Strength penalty to 1d8+2, and a successful save only reduces the penalty by half rather than negating it.

Green Dragon Bloodline

Like a green dragon, you can create a miasma which follows you by expending an arcane spell slot as a standard action. You create a wispy cloud that has a radius of 10 feet and moves with you. Any creature that enters the cloud or begins its turn inside the cloud takes acid damage equal 1d6 per level of the spell slot expended but may make a Reflex save for half damage. The cloud persists for 1 round for every 2 bloodline levels you possess, minimum 1.

An intermediate green dragon bloodline increases the acid damage to 1d8+1 per level of the spell slot and adds +2 to the save DC.

Red Dragon Bloodline

You call upon the flames of the red dragon, belching forth all-consuming fire. As a standard action, you can expend an arcane spell slot to shoot a 15-foot cone of searing flame from your fingertips. Any creature in the area of the flames takes 1d4 points of fire damage per level of the expended spell slot. Affected creatures may make a Reflex save for half damage.

Flammable materials burn if the flames touch them. A character can extinguish burning items as a full-round action.

An intermediate red dragon bloodline increases the damage dice to 1d6, and creatures that fail their save catch fire, taking half the original damage in the following round unless they take a full-round action to extinguish the flames. A major red dragon bloodline increases the damage dice to 1d8 and adds +2 to the save DC.

Silver Dragon Bloodline

You can conjure a cloud of paralyzing gas in a 10-foot cone by expending an arcane spell slot as a standard action. Creatures within the cone of paralyzing gas must succeed on a Fortitude save or be paralyzed for 1 round per level of the expended spell slot.

An intermediate silver dragon bloodline increases the size of the cone to 15 feet and adds +2 to the save DC. A major silver dragon bloodline increases the paralysis to 1d4 rounds +1 round per level of the expended spell slot.

White Dragon Bloodline

As a standard action, you can expend an arcane spell slot to conjure a freezing fog like a white dragon. The fog covers a 10-foot square to a height of 10 feet and coats any surface it touches with a thin layer of ice, creating the effect of a grease spell. In addition, any creature that enters the fog or begins their round in the fog is slowed until the end of the round. A successful fortitude save negates the slowed condition.

The fog persists for a number of rounds equal to the level of the expended spell slot.

An intermediate white dragon bloodline adds +2 to the save DC of both the grease and slow effects

Special

If you do not have one of the listed bloodlines, you cannot gain this feat.
